Apart from anything else the big island was difficult to manoeuvre round. Now after a complete refurbishment by WCM the previous owners would never recognise it as the same room. New Shaker style units with moulded white resin worktops were fitted and bright floral Designers Guild wallpaper brought the outside in. There’s still an island – but  it’s a tad smaller and easy to get around now.
