When this couple downsized into a New Forest cottage they decided to upsize the kitchen. Dark and tired-looking, it was calling out for Woodchester Cabinet Makers to fit it with new Shaker-style, hand-made cabinets and tortoiseshell granite worktops, all to be kept nicely warm with an Aga.

Finishing touches were the pale greenish ‘Bone’ paint on the units and country-style crackle glazed knobs on the doors. The emphasis was always on light shades, because of the lack of height in the room.
